Profab Concealed Riser Doors are manufactured by Profab Access Ltd in our UK factory to ISO 9001:2008, purpose designed using the latest 3D software for use in masonry wallsshaft walls & drywall partitions.  Riser Doors are frequently specified by architects in commercial and residential buildings where clean and concealed maintenance free access to mechanical or electrical services within riser, duct and pod applications is required.

Custom manufactured in any size from 300mm x 300mm up to 1000mm x 3100mm.

  • Banked Doors available up to ∞ x 3100mm

The 1.5mm thick, electro-galvanised mild steel ridgid box section type frame holds a flush 1.2mm thick, electro-galvanised mild steel flush faced door through a concealed full length piano hinge . The door is held closed with a concealed 3 point lock (3PL) which opens towards the user. Doors are removable if damage occurs or during installation. Panels are powder coat finished all over, a constant 2mm gap is maintained between the door and frame.

All standard panels are for internal use and only in areas of normal humidity. Suitable for vertical or horizontal use where the panel is either being installed prior to any tape and jointing or skim-coat plastering (BF) or being installed after all finishing work has been completed (PF)

Apertures formed in dry lined walls should be suitably formed and adequately supported to take the additional weight and operating forces exerted during operation.

The panel is fitted with a concealed 3 point lock as standard, operated with a supplied square drive key through a round keyhole in the door face following removal of the white plastic cap (Additional keys and caps are available from PROFAB).

All metal Riser Doors (MD) come with temporary flame retardant Protec PROPLEX 3MM FR HEAVY DUTY CORRUGATED PLASTIC SHEETING applied to the door face using low tack tape for surface protection.

The 4000 series is designed to provide a range of high performance access panels which are easy and economic to install. With Profab’s manufacturing flexibility, modifications are available with this product, offering alternative sizes, locks and paint colours/finishes. Discussions with Profab should take place at the earliest opportunity if specification changes are being considered.
